Home Series Non-BYOB Edition

Home Series VTS (Non-BYOB)

Non-BYOB = Non–Bring Your Own Barbell. Translation: this unit includes the barbell + handles—so you don’t have to supply your own.

The Bulletproof VTS ecosystem — now with a lighter, more affordable option that shows up with its own bar. Same hook versatility. 360° roller action. Less “why is this thing so heavy?” energy.

Built for: Home gyms and people who don’t want to disassemble their rack to train.

Quick Specs (The Stuff You Actually Care About)
Rollers: All sides ✅ (smaller UHMW rollers)
Feel: Slightly more vibration on fast reps vs. the premium CNC composite rollers
Weight: 14 lbs per trolley (28 lbs per pair) — nearly half the weight of the flagship VTS
Hex Ports: Outside hex ports to keep the load + force in the same plane (smooth tracking on a lighter chassis)
Rigidity: No internal structural cage → may bind sooner under very heavy isolateral loads
Bars: Includes Bulletproof bar + ISO handles
Hooks: 2 pairs included (bar + handles) so you don’t swap between attachments

Who Needs This (And Who Doesn’t)

If you’re deciding between the Lite, this Home Series Non-BYOB, and the flagship VTS—this is the “stop scrolling and decide” section.

Choose this if

You want 360° movement without premium pricing

  • You want rollers on all sides (Smith + more versatility than front/back-only designs)
  • You want a lighter starting weight (14 lbs per trolley — your shoulders and your ego will both survive)
  • You don’t want to disassemble your rack to install it
  • You want the Bulletproof ecosystem from the original creators—at the lowest price we’ve ever offered
  • You like simple + rigid hardware: fixed hook, Allen bolts, built-in catch (less “did I tighten this enough?” energy)
Not the right fit if

You plan to live at max isolateral loads

The flagship VTS has the internal structural cage + taller frame + larger custom CNC composite rollers + horizontal set bolts to keep things insanely rigid and smooth—especially when force and load aren’t on the same side. This Home Series version is built to be lighter, simpler, and more affordable—so under very heavy isolateral loading, it can bind sooner than the premium model.

Translation: if you’re trying to PR like you’re being filmed for a documentary, the flagship VTS is still the king.

Weight & Dimensions

Component Weights & Dimensions
  • Trolley: 14 lbs each (28 lbs per pair)
  • Single Handles: 10 lbs each (includes hex port housing)
  • Barbell: 24 lbs (includes hex port housing)
  • Barbell & ISO Handle Diameter: 30mm
  • Barbell Length: 53" - adjustable to fit different rack widths between 41" and 43"
  • ISO Handle Length: 12" of 30mm handle length
Pro tip: If you’re sensitive to starting weight, this Home Series build is intentionally lighter than the flagship VTS (and most competitors).
Weight Horn Dimensions
  • Weight Horn Length: 12.5"

Horn length is measured from the base to the end of the loading sleeve.

Note: On this Home Series model the weight horn is fixed (non-removable) to keep weight and cost down. This may limit certain configurations vs. the flagship.

Feature Highlights

We didn’t “cheap out.” We engineered cost out—without deleting the stuff that makes VTS… VTS.

Non-BYOB

Shows Up With Its Own Bar

No BYOB latch on this model—because it already includes a Bulletproof bar + ISO handles at a home-series price. Clip in. Hook up. Do violence to gravity.

  • Includes bar + ISO handles
  • Hex port mounting on the outside for smarter load alignment on a lighter chassis
  • Fixed horn to reduce weight and cost
Fixed Hook

More Rigid, More “Set It & Forget It”

The flagship BYOB setup uses a wrap-around hook with a thumbscrew for quick on/off. It’s fast on purpose. This Home Series build is more permanent: Allen bolts + fixed hook for a more rigid feel.

Less “did I tighten this enough?” and more “cool… it’s just locked in.”
  • Hooks slide on the semi-round bar/handle with a flat side
  • Still allows left/right fine-tuning for perfect placement
  • Integrated catch helps prevent over-rotation
2 Hook Pairs

No More Swapping Hooks

We include two complete pairs of hooks—one pair dedicated to the barbell and one pair dedicated to the handles. That means you can switch attachments without playing “where did I put the hooks?” between sets.

This seems small… until you train with it. Then you realize it’s the difference between “smooth session” and “why am I doing arts & crafts?”

Note: Rollers shown and discussed in some videos reflect off-the-shelf rollers, which have been upgraded. Current Home Series units ship with upgraded UHMW rollers.

Compare: VTS Lite vs. Home Series Non-BYOB vs. Flagship VTS

Here’s the clean breakdown—no marketing fog, no interpretive dance.

VTS Lite

Smith-Style Essentials

  • Rollers: front/back only
  • Best for: Smith-style pressing/squatting
  • Not built for: true isolateral action
Home Series Non-BYOB

360° Versatility, Home Price

  • Rollers: all sides ✅ (smaller UHMW rollers)
  • Feel: slightly more vibration at speed vs. flagship
  • Rigidity: no internal cage → may bind sooner under very heavy isolateral loads
  • Hex ports: outside to keep load + force in the same plane
  • Weight horn: fixed (non-removable)
  • Includes: bar + ISO handles
Flagship VTS

Premium Everything

  • Rollers: all sides ✅ (larger, custom CNC composite)
  • Smoother feel under speed
  • Internal structural cage for maximum rigidity
  • Hex ports: inside (supports force/load on opposite sides with smooth tracking)
  • Weight horn: removable for more configurations
  • Best for: heaviest isolateral work + max stability
Quick rule: Lite = Smith essentials • Home Series Non-BYOB = best value 360° option • Flagship = absolute max performance.

What’s Included Exactly what ships in the box (with a big quality-of-life upgrade)
+
What's included with Home Series VTS Non-BYOB
What’s in the box: everything you need to train immediately (and skip the hook-swapping routine).
  • Home Series VTS Non-BYOB unit
  • Bulletproof barbell (included)
  • Home Series ISO handles (included)
  • 2 complete pairs of hooks:
    • One pair dedicated to the barbell
    • One pair dedicated to the handles
Meaning: you can switch bar ↔ handles without swapping hooks mid-workout.
  • Setup guide + video access
Big win: dedicated hook pairs keeps your flow fast and your session clean. No “pause the workout to reconfigure hardware” energy.
Reminder: This model is built around the included bar + handles (Non–Bring Your Own Barbell).
Hex Ports: Inside vs. Outside (Why It Changed) The engineering reason this Home Series version is different
+

Through the development of the VTS we tested multiple hex-port placements and showed the tradeoffs along the way. The flagship VTS ultimately landed on inside hex ports + front barbell latch because that combination unlocked the widest range of use-cases.

The flagship can even run a handle on the inside with the load on the outside and still track smooth—because it has the taller frame, horizontal set bolts for a dialed rack fit, larger custom composite rollers, and the internal structural cage.

In other words: the flagship is built to stay smooth even when force and load aren’t in the same plane.

On the Home Series Non-BYOB we made it lighter and more compact (smaller UHMW rollers, no internal cage), so to keep tracking clean and reduce binding we moved the hex ports to the outside. This keeps force and load in the same place—which is the right move for a lighter chassis at a lower price.

  • Flagship VTS: inside hex port can feel smoother even with “force here / load there.”
  • Home Series: outside hex port keeps alignment simple and smooth on a lighter build.
Heads up: because of the outside-port layout (and the fixed horn), there may be certain configurations the flagship can do that this Home Series model can’t.
Why the Rollers Are Different Cost down, still 360° action
+

The flagship VTS uses larger, custom CNC composite rollers designed for premium smoothness and durability. This Home Series model uses smaller UHMW rollers to bring the price down—rather than the larger, custom CNC composite rollers used on the flagship.

  • Smaller rollers can mean more rotations per travel → under faster pressing you may feel a bit more vibration vs. the flagship
  • UHMW material offers excellent wear resistance and low friction compared to basic nylon rollers
  • Still delivers the core advantage: rollers on all sides for a broader movement ecosystem
Rigidity & Binding (Real Talk) What changes without the internal cage
+

The flagship VTS has an internal structural cage that increases rigidity and reduces binding under very heavy isolateral loading. This Home Series unit removes that cage to reduce weight and simplify install—so under extreme isolateral load, it can bind sooner than the flagship.

If your training is “max isolateral everything,” choose the flagship. If your training is “home gym domination on a budget,” this is your weapon.
Why We Kept The Hook Versatility, compatibility, ecosystem expansion
+

The hook isn’t “old school.” It’s proven. It’s what commercial gyms have used forever because it’s reliable and versatile. And as our ecosystem expands (swivels, launch pads, alternate hook thickness, hitch pin setups), the hook keeps paying dividends.

  • Works with current and future attachment variations
  • Better long-term compatibility than latch workarounds
