The original Isolator Kickstand came from a simple request from the community: keep the Isolator seat from gradually drooping downward under load. We added vertical support underneath the seat, helped keep it level, and it worked.
Then you guys found something else.
During heavier or more aggressive movements, some users could still create side-to-side movement. In fact, once the seat was firmly supported vertically, that lateral movement could sometimes become more noticeable.
So the request went from "Keep my seat from drooping." to "Okay... now can you make this thing move less side to side too?"
Fair enough.
We didn't need to redesign the entire Kickstand. The original was already doing the job it was designed to do. We just needed to give it a better foot.
Kickstand 2.0 replaces the original round foot with a much wider horizontal floor base, adds gusseted reinforcement, and uses separate floor contact points to create a firmer, more planted structure.
