ISOLATOR Kickstand Support Leg Long 2.0

ISOLATOR Kickstand Support Leg Long 2.0

$179.00

The Isolator Kickstand 2.0 takes the vertical seat support of the original Kickstand and adds a wider, reinforced foundation for improved side-to-side stability.

A new horizontal floor base, gusseted bracing, and separate floor contact points create a firmer, more planted setup—especially during heavier or more aggressive movements.

Keeps the seat level. Reduces side-to-side sway. More rigidity. More stability. Same Kickstand. Much better foot.

We fixed the fix. Well... we added to it.

The original Isolator Kickstand came from a simple request from the community: keep the Isolator seat from gradually drooping downward under load. We added vertical support underneath the seat, helped keep it level, and it worked.

Then you guys found something else.

During heavier or more aggressive movements, some users could still create side-to-side movement. In fact, once the seat was firmly supported vertically, that lateral movement could sometimes become more noticeable.

So the request went from "Keep my seat from drooping." to "Okay... now can you make this thing move less side to side too?"

Fair enough.

We didn't need to redesign the entire Kickstand. The original was already doing the job it was designed to do. We just needed to give it a better foot.

Kickstand 2.0 replaces the original round foot with a much wider horizontal floor base, adds gusseted reinforcement, and uses separate floor contact points to create a firmer, more planted structure.

Vertical Support

Helps keep the Isolator seat level and supported under load.

Lateral Support

The wider reinforced base adds significantly better resistance to side-to-side sway.

Same Kickstand. Much better foot.

Features
Wider Horizontal Base

A long horizontal floor bar replaces the original round foot, substantially increasing the Kickstand's footprint.

Gusseted Reinforcement

Added bracing reinforces the connection between the vertical support and horizontal base for a more rigid structure.

Separate Floor Contact Points

Fixed feet at each end of the horizontal base create separate points of contact with the floor instead of relying on one long bar to sit perfectly flat.

No Leveling Adjustments

No knobs and no manual leveling. Set it down and the separate feet help accommodate minor variations in the floor surface.

Vertical Seat Support

Maintains the original Kickstand function of supporting the seat from underneath to help prevent downward droop under load.

Improved Lateral Stability

The wider footprint and reinforced structure provide more leverage against side-to-side forces during demanding movements.

More rigidity. More stability. Same simple Kickstand concept.

Biomechanics

Not all seat movement comes from the same direction. The original Kickstand was designed primarily around vertical movement. Kickstand 2.0 expands the support system to better address lateral movement as well.

Vertical Force

Load placed on the seat can create downward force that may cause the seat to gradually slope. Supporting the seat from underneath helps resist this movement.

Lateral Force

Force transferred sideways through the user, seat, and machine can create horizontal sway. A wider base provides greater leverage against this type of movement.

This becomes particularly relevant during movements such as heavy leg extensions. The harder and faster you drive through a movement, the more force can be transferred through the rest of the setup.

Body weight, load, exercise selection, setup, technique, and rep speed can all affect how much movement an individual user experiences.

Why the wider base matters: Increasing the width of the Kickstand's floor contact gives the structure more leverage against forces trying to move it laterally, while the gusseted connection helps keep the vertical post and base working together as a more rigid structure.

Kickstand 2.0 is designed to significantly improve stability, not make the unrealistic claim that no movement can ever occur under every user, load, exercise, and setup.

Comparisons

The original Kickstand wasn't replaced because it didn't work. It did exactly what it was designed to do: provide vertical support underneath the Isolator seat.

Kickstand 2.0 keeps that function and upgrades the foundation to address lateral movement as well.

Kickstand 1.0 — Round Foot

Used a large round foot to create a larger floor contact point underneath the vertical support.

Kickstand 2.0 — Horizontal Base

Replaces the round foot with a long horizontal base for a substantially wider footprint and greater lateral support.

Kickstand 1.0 — Vertical Stability

Designed primarily to support the seat vertically and help prevent it from gradually sloping downward under load.

Kickstand 2.0 — Vertical + Lateral Stability

Maintains vertical seat support while adding significantly better resistance to side-to-side movement.

Kickstand 1.0 — Original Structure

A simple vertical support with a large round floor contact point.

Kickstand 2.0 — Reinforced Structure

Adds gusseted bracing between the vertical post and horizontal base for increased rigidity.

Kickstand 1.0 — Single Main Contact Area

Floor support was concentrated around the large round foot.

Kickstand 2.0 — Two Floor Contact Points

Fixed feet at both ends of the base provide separate floor contact points that can better accommodate minor floor variations.

The original solved the seat droop. 2.0 keeps that solution and adds a much more stable foundation.

Product FAQs
What problem does the Kickstand 2.0 solve?

It provides vertical support underneath the Isolator seat to help prevent downward droop under load while its wider reinforced base also helps reduce side-to-side movement.

What changed from the original Kickstand?

The original round foot has been replaced with a long horizontal floor base. Kickstand 2.0 also adds gusseted reinforcement and fixed feet at both ends of the base for improved lateral stability.

Did the original Kickstand not work?

The original Kickstand worked for the problem it was designed to address: vertical seat support. Kickstand 2.0 keeps that function and improves the design to better resist lateral movement as well.

Why does the wider base improve stability?

The wider footprint gives the Kickstand greater leverage against forces trying to move the structure from side to side, while the gusseted bracing helps create a more rigid connection between the vertical post and base.

Do the feet need to be manually leveled?

No. There are no leveling knobs to adjust. The fixed feet at each end create separate floor contact points that help the base naturally accommodate minor variations in the floor surface.

Will Kickstand 2.0 completely eliminate all movement?

It is designed to significantly improve stability, but movement can vary depending on the user, body weight, load, exercise, technique, rep speed, and overall setup.

When will I notice the upgraded base the most?

The additional lateral support can be especially noticeable during heavier or more aggressive movements, such as heavy leg extensions, where greater force may be transferred through the seat and machine.
